Robotina Successfully Completes the NATO DIANA Programme with FORTICELL
Robotina has successfully completed the six-month NATO DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) programme, one of the leading international initiatives supporting advanced dual u se technologies for both civilian and defence applications. During the programme, Robotina further developed and showcased FORTICELL, a solution designed to improve the reliability and resilience of critical energy systems.
FORTICELL builds on Robotina's longstanding expertise in energy management and advanced battery monitoring technologies. The solution enables early detection of battery degradation and potential failures, helping prevent power outages and increase the availability of critical infrastructure. These capabilities are particularly valuable in environments where even a brief interruption of power can have significant operational consequences.
Participation in the NATO DIANA programme provided Robotina with access to an international network of mentors, industry experts, research organisations and potential end users. In addition to refining our business approach and presenting the solution to the international defence community, we gained valuable insight into the requirements, standards and processes involved in introducing innovative technologies into defence environments.
The programme also offered an important opportunity to demonstrate the potential of FORTICELL in demanding operational scenarios and to establish new partnerships across defence and other critical infrastructure sectors. The experience reinforced our belief that technologies originally developed for civilian applications can play a significant role in strengthening resilience, energy security and operational readiness in increasingly complex environments.
For Robotina, completing the programme is not the end of the journey but the beginning of a new phase of development. In the coming months, we will continue validating the solution, expanding its capabilities and building new partnerships in Slovenia and internationally. Our objective remains clear: to develop innovative energy solutions that contribute to greater reliability, security and sustainability of critical infrastructure.
