Today we hosted students and their mentors from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (University of Ljubljana)
The project addresses areas such as embedded smart systems, smart built environment, reuse of (textile) waste, labeling of thematic tourist products, and COVID-19 (prevention). The area addressed by the project is environmental issues, COVID-19, smart cities and communities, smart buildings and the home with a wooden chain, networks for the transition to a circular economy, sustainable food production, sustainable tourism, factories of the future, health - medicine, mobility,...
The sole purpose of the project is promoting and strengthening cooperation and integration of the higher education system with the environment (economy and non-economy and non-profit sector in the local and regional environment) and the implementation of flexible forms of learning. In this way, young people will be able to gain concrete, practical experience already during education, develop skills for direct involvement in realizing ideas and gaining experience, develop entrepreneurship, innovation, creative thinking, creativity, etc. for greater employability and an easier transition to the working environment.
Objectives of the project:
a) Implementation goal is the design and implementation of an interactive environment using secondary textile raw materials
b) Educational objective is to acquire practical knowledge in the areas of:
built-in systems: programming, information connection, control, sensors, actuators,...,
the use of waste textile raw materials in the production of new textile products - in the specific case of the production of an interactive spatial textile installation,
the architectural design of an interactive public space, which should influence the visitor's feelings, emotions and thought process in the desired sense,
achieving synergistic effects in the multidisciplinary development of a new product (interactive spatial textile installations in our case).
