A consortium of companies consisting of GIC Gradnje d.o.o., SRC d.o.o., Robotina d.o.o. and Sunesis d.o.o. obtained EU funds within the Digital Transformation of the Economy call for the implementation of the Construction 4.0 project.
The purpose of the project is the implementation of a comprehensive digital transformation of the leading partner of the consortium, the company GIC Gradnje, and a number of business functions at the other partners. With this, we address the main challenges that the construction industry perceives and feels globally and, as a result, also in Slovenia, on which digital technologies and digitization also have a significant impact. The ambition and complexity of the project is evidenced primarily by the fact that the construction industry is at the very tail end of the industry in terms of the level of digitization.
The expected result of the project will be the introduction of new methods, processes and ways of working as a positive effect of the technologically advanced digital transformation. With activities within the subprojects Gradbišče 4.0 and Betonarna 2.0. we will renovate and digitize processes on construction sites and in concrete plants, modernize the management of procedures and documentation with the introduction of the Construction Platform, and change the way buildings are perceived with the Building as a platform. The project also includes the creation of a comprehensive digital strategy and places great emphasis not only on the development and use of advanced digital technologies, but also on raising the digital competences of employees, changing the (digital) culture and strengthening the capacity of partners.
The Construction 4.0 project will last 23 months, and the total value of the project is EUR 5,081,186.50. The project is part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, and the total financial support provided by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union amounts to EUR 2,133,334.65.
