MODEL+

Robotina  together with the company REM d.o.o. (lead partner), DANFOSS TRATA d.o.o., KRONOTERM d.o.o. and PIKTRONIK d.o.o.  participates in the MODEL+ project. The coordinator of the project is TECES.

The pilot and demonstration project MODEL+, Demonstration of smart modular construction, connectivity and control of next-generation electrical and thermal resources is one of the central technological development projects carried out by TECES.

MODEL+ is an integral part of the international strategic programme Smart Energy Efficient and Energy Independent Dual-Use Campsites.

The Ministry of Defence (MORS) is involved as the infrastructure manager, where testing and final demonstration of the modular facility will be carried out. At the same time, he acts as one of the target users of the final integrated solution, which participates in the project in the design and implementation of testing. 

In June 2023, the project, together with other 20 projects, was selected for co-financing at the Public Call for Recovery and Resilience through pilot demonstration projects (JR DEMO PILOTS NOO), implemented by SPIRIT Slovenia, a public agency.

The main purpose of the project is the development and demonstration of smart modular construction, connectivity of technologies and solutions for generating, storing and managing electricity-heat sources with the help of a digital twin for energy-efficient and self-sufficient modular buildings of the new generation.

The main project objectives are:

• Annual savings of 21.2 t of CO2.
• Installation of an energy-efficient and energy-self-sufficient modular facility with 8-hour autonomy.

The project partners intend to develop innovative technological solutions with the aim of demonstrating the integration of individual components into a pilot installation of a functioning whole, which contains:

• Modular building with new construction solutions – REM d.o.o.
• Heating and cooling system with smart drive and artificial intelligence – DANFOSS Trata d.o.o.
• Modular heat and energy unit (MTTE, heat pump, heat storage tank, sanitary water storage tank) – KRONOTERM d.o.o.
• High voltage battery storage facility – PIKTRONIK d.o.o.
• Digital Twin Energy Management System – ROBOTINA d.o.o.
