RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Take a look at some of our research and development projects
Projekt Home 24
Field: Energy management
Solution: HEMS
The basic purpose of the Dom24h project is the development and demonstration of a new concept of living and working in a home that we use 24 hours a day, the development and demonstration of subsystems and products for smart buildings of the future, and the development of an appropriate business model for marketing this concept on the market.
Within the ADVANCED ENERGY MANAGEMENT segment, Robotina takes care of the development and demonstration of HEMS (Home Energy Management System), energy flow management and integration of all devices and electricity storage. The latest IoT technology is used here, a digital twin of the object will be built in the cloud, and then, using advanced rules and machine learning, needs will be predicted and optimally (in accordance with the user's goals) satisfied.
In the NEDO project, HEMS (Home Energy Management System) and the xEMS platform are the backbone for demand modeling and offering flexibility in the supply of electricity for the involved buildings and homes. 30 HEMS solutions installed in individual homes, both in apartments and villas, control local consumers and through the xEMS platform offer the combined flexibility of the system for local energy management, Area Energy Management. Once the flexibility is accepted, xEMS breaks down the request to the individual installed HEMS solutions and they implement the requested changes in consumption/production.
xEMS is the most advanced and state-of-the-art fully integrated vertical solution for advanced demand modeling and flexibility offering and used artificial intelligence for forecasting. HEMS includes advanced control and optimization of charging of electric cars and solar systems, which ensure optimized efficiency and ensure the lowest energy costs for end users, and provide a major tool for the digital transformation of electric grids and energy provider companies.
International consortium of solution providers, research institutions and energy utilities started collaboration in GoFlex, a 3-year H2020 project. Integration of several technologies and solutions into the smart-grid platform will be demonstrated at three demo sites in Germany, Cyprus and Switzerland. More than 400 prosumers from residential buildings, industry and transportation will be involved. Robotina provides its Home energy management system based on Cybrotech technology. GoFlex's mission is "to innovate, integrate and demonstrate smart-grid technologies, enabling the cost effective use of demand response in distribution grids". xEMS supports the active use of distributed load flexibility resources to provide services to grid operators, balance electricity supply and demand, and optimize energy consumption and production at the local level of electricity trading and distribution systems.
The project is a successful example of high-tech cooperation between Japanese (Hitachi) and Slovenian (Robotina) partners who developed, delivered and optimized a smart city/community project in Speyer, Germany. The solution optimizes energy storage and flow, reduces energy costs in constant interaction with the smart electrical grid.Extensive use of Cybro controllers, Cloud software and machine learning gives excellent results.Project participants successfully tested and optimized new and complex systems.User benefits are optimal consumption costs and energy convenience. We continue the high-tech cooperation with the development of the business model and the upgrade of intelligence.
Project INSIEME (ISE-EMH)
Field: Home automation, Quality of life
Solution/Product: HiQ Home, Ambient assisted living
The goal of the ISE-EMH project (English: Italian-Slovenian Ecosystem for Electronic and Mobile Health) is to expand and improve the electronic and mobile health project.Robotina in the project has the role of building a system for capturing data from devices that provide information about the user's behavioral patterns. The obtained behavioral patterns and built algorithms will serve to detect anomalies in behavior, which will enable early detection of diseases of the elderly, or anomalies in behavior and the need for help.
Area: Automation of access, ordering and occupancy management
Solution / Product: SOPOS
The consortium of companies Robotina d.o.o., SRC Infonet d.o.o. and Abelium d.o.o. through the SOPOS project, will develop an advanced system for limiting the transmission of infections in buildings. It is about the development of the most effective and cheapest automation and digitization of the entire process, which enables hospitals and other institutions to offer the best non-medical infection prevention.
The main and enabling part of the SOPOS solution is the SGATE solution, which received the silver award for innovation at the national level in 2020. SGATE, the existing Robotina solution, as the consortium leader, will use digital keys and sensors to automate all procedures for approaching and staying in the building, capturing all data from various sensors and data transfer to the 4S platform cloud. The data will be available in real time to the SRC Infonet information systems, which will ensure the digitization of procedures, reception and ordering of patients and visitors. Consortium partner Abelium will use the obtained data to build advanced optimization algorithms for determining the optimal, safe path of an individual patient or visitor from the entrance to the facility to selected rooms in the building.
Project CityVoice
Robotina d. o. o. is jointly in partnership with Alpineon d. o. o., Kamnik, and Amebis d. o. o. obtained co-financing of the RRI project or CityVOICE operations - speech technologies with advanced language resources. The project will be co-financed in the amount of up to EUR 386,509.10.
As part of the CityVOICE project, together with our partners, we are developing a sophisticated synthesizer of Slovenian speech to the point that it will be validated in its final form and suitable for use in a real environment.
It is a high-tech product that represents an important horizontal enabling technology with high added value, and will be useful either as a building block of solutions in the verticals of the S4 priority application area Smart Cities and Communities and in many other S4 priority areas: Smart Home, Mobility, Factories of the Future, or as an independent product on the market.
Project EE-HIGHRISE
ENERGY EFFICIENT DEMO MULTIRESIDENTIAL HIGH RISE BUILDING
Field: Building automation, BMS-building management system
Solution / Product: BMS, HEMS
The overall goal of the project was to demonstrate and validate new technologies, concepts and systems for sustainable, low-energy construction in order to test and evaluate the technological and economic feasibility of innovative energy solutions in the Eco Silver House apartment building.Implementation of the Robotina BMS system for building management, implementation of a system for controlling all systems and devices of the building, and implementation of building automation, which included both the automation of individual apartments and the automation of common areas.
Solution / Product: MAS - Measuring stations for transmission lines
The construction of new transmission capacities is a demanding and long-term process, mainly due to problems with placement in the space. By achieving better utilization of existing transmission capacities, investments in new buildings can be avoided or postponed to the future. The load capacity of the transmission capacity of the power system is not always the same, but changes over time and depends on atmospheric conditions. As part of the SUMO project, a tool was developed for assessing the load capacity of transmission lines and transformers using data from weather models and measured atmospheric variables, as well as current and predicted element loads. In the SUMO project, Robotina developed MAS measuring stations, which are professional measuring devices intended for measuring parameters and atmospheric variables on transmission lines. Their primary purpose is the measurement of parameters that, in conjunction with a dynamic assessment model, enable the determination and prediction of transmission capacities of transmission lines and their operating limits.
Key features of the solution:
The system is implemented on a low-power Linux platform, which enables complete energy independence.
Energy independence with power from solar cells.
The modular design allows for easy maintenance and upgrades.
The robust design and execution enables continuous operation in extreme weather conditions.
Distributed Data capture systems through various communication channels.
Plug & play implementation
