Optimizing and protecting the operation of the UPS through the control of each battery that is part of this UPS,
Technologies > key HW and SW:
The solution consists of BM-CS (Cell Sensor) for each battery, BM-HS (Hall Sensor) for measuring the current in the branch, BM-SS (String master) for each branch (series) of batteries connected to the UPS, BM-GW (Gateway ), where the in-house developed software is located, which controls and manages the entire system, and also ensures communication with any cloud or local SCADA system (via the modbus protocol). If necessary, we can add a BM-MC (master controller) to the system, to which we can connect up to 32 BM-TH (Temperature and humidity sensor) and/or up to 4 BM-LC (IO module) through which devices can be switched on/off, depending on the data , which we get from the system (batteries). It is also possible to add a BM-HMI (touch display) for local system management.
Effects: Using the BTMS system ensures more reliable and safer operation of the UPS system, as we always have information on the state of health and fullness for each battery separately and not just for the entire system. When one of the batteries is out of acceptable parameters, the system warns us about it, so that we can take action in time and not when it is already too late and we already need the system. BTMS can also take action if an individual battery overheats and disconnect the branch in which the battery is overheated, thereby preventing potentially greater damage.

Robotina entered the international market with a completely new, integrated solution for the remote control of battery systems, i.e. battery storage units and batteries, which are part of UPS systems. The Robotina-UAE team also successfully implemented the BTMS (Battery Monitoring System) solution in the Microsoft data center covering the Middle East.
The solution generated great interest in the defense sector and various critical infrastructure applications.
Technologies:
BM-SS (String master) for each branch (series) of batteries connected to the UPS,
BM-GW (Gateway),
BM-CS for each battery,
BM-HS for measuring the branch's current,

Area of solution: Battery management and monitoring
Using the BTMS technology enables more dependable and secure operation of the UPS system since we always have knowledge of the condition and level of each battery individually rather than only for the system as a whole. The system alerts us when one of the batteries is outside of permitted bounds so that we can take appropriate action before it is too late and we require the system. If a single battery overheats, BTMS can intervene and disconnect the branch from which the battery is overheating, potentially limiting further damage.
Technologies:
The solution includes the following components:
BM-CS for each battery,
BM-HS for measuring the branch's current,
BM-SS (String master) for each branch (series) of batteries connected to the UPS,
BM-GW (Gateway)
SCADA system.
If necessary, we can connect up to 32 BM-TH and/or up to 4 BM-LC to the system, which will allow us to regulate the switching on and off of various devices based on the information the system provides.
